Kenyan FA on brink of suspension after court orders postponement of AGM

March 27 – FIFA have threatened the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) with suspension after a local court postponed the federation’s annual general meeting.

In a letter signed by FIFA’s chief of member associations Jean-Marie Kenny, the world federation demands that the FKF stage their AGM soon so that elections can be organised later this year, expressing “great concern” about the situation.

FIFA refers to article 69 of the FKF statutes and article 58 of the FIFA statutes which stipulate that recourse to ordinary courts is prohibited unless foreseen by FIFA.
