Video: 49ers DE Nick Bosa can’t blame officials’ non-call for Super Bowl loss

San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa met with reporters via Zoom on Thursday and discussed a fateful third-down play that catapulted the Kansas City Chiefs’ comeback to beat the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV in February.

Patrick Mahomes completed a crucial third-and-15 pass downfield to wide receiver Tyreek Hill midway through the fourth quarter, setting up the Chiefs’ comeback from a 20-10 deficit. Bosa appeared to be held by left tackle Eric Fisher on the play, but no official threw a flag.

Bosa says he has moved past the play and the 49ers’ high-profile championship collapse.

“If they think it’s holding, it’s holding. It could have been, it could not have been. It’s what he thinks,” Bosa said. “I’m not going to say that’s the reason we lost the game.”
