The 49ers found a home 350 miles away from home on Sunday for their huge NFC West showdown against the Rams in Los Angeles.
Conservative estimates showed roughly half the Los Angeles Coliseum crowd was rooting for the undefeated 49ers.

In addition, the old stadium didn’t appear to be sold out for the first matchup where both the Rams and 49ers were over .500 since 2001.
There are way too many 49ers fans at the Rams game. This is on par with how many Packers and Eagles fans there were. Perhaps more. Feels like a home game for SF

The decidedly non-home crowd advantage for the Rams could be partially explained by the red-hot 49ers re-energizing their faithful, but it’s also symptomatic of an L.A. problem. Just about 10 miles away in Carson, the Chargers’ home games routinely feature strong support from visiting teams’ fans.
This 49ers Rams game shows that football in LA is going to be a problem for the home teams. Well-traveling away teams also have large contingencies of fans who are LA locals. This isn’t just a Chargers problem.

On Sunday, the 49ers were able to feel at home against the Rams while avoiding having to deal with a raucous crowd.. Not that it made a huge difference in the first half when the teams were tied 7-7. However, the 49ers Faithful got increasingly more vocal in the third quarter when San Francisco grabbed a 14-7 lead.
@latimes today's Rams niners game is an embarrassment for the LA fanbase who wanted their team back so much .
The entire lower bowl seems to be 49ers fans.
The crowd is about 50/50For the biggest home game of the year against their archrival
TV Not mentioning #embarrassment

There’s more 49ers fans in LA than Rams fans.
