Steph Curry gave a golfer $25K to help with his wife’s cancer battle. Today they finally met.

Last month we shared with you the emotional story about 38-year-old Scott Harrington earning his PGA Tour card for the first time in his career. This came just a year after he stepped away from the game of golf in order to help his wife, Jenn, battle cancer.

Her cancer is now in remission and she was there to hug her husband on the 18th green after he secured his card, which was an incredible moment.

When Harrington stepped away from the game he was playing on what was then called the Web.com Tour, which is where golfers don’t make a ton of money. Not playing meant he would make no money, which only made things harder.

Well, the golf world came together and started a GoFundMe for the Harringtons. Steph Curry, who played in a Web.com Tour event last year, heard about what the Harringtons were going through and immediately donated $25,000 to a couple that he had never met.

On Wednesday, Curry and Harrington finally got to meet for the first time as they shared a special moment the range at the Safeway Open.

It was pretty great:

Harrington was thrilled to finally meet Curry and thank him for what he did, telling PGATour.com:

“We talked for 10 or 15 minutes, and you could tell how genuine of a guy he was. He truly cared. He wanted to know what it was like, what we were going through.”

Here was Curry speaking last year about making the donation and urging others to do the help out:

Here was the hug Harrington and his wife shared back when he secured his card:

Congrats to the Harringtons.

And what a great thing for Curry to do.
