UFC on FOX 31: Lee vs. Iaquinta 2 took place Dec. 15 at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wis. Edson Barboza (20-6) and Dan Hooker (13-5-1) collided in the night’s co-main event, which aired live on pay-per-view. Catch the video highlights above.

Round 1: Rob Hinds the third man in the cage for this fight. Hooker opens up with a kick ot the body and Barboza responds in kind. It’s all leg and body kicks for both men in the early going. Hooker goes for a clinch to slow down Barboza’s hands, but Barboza pulls away. Hooker’s straight left finds a home, but Barboza starts landing counters up top. Barboza with a stiff body kick, he’s flashing that leg speed. Overhand right clips Hooker who again fails to lock on a clinch. Inside leg kicks are taking their toll on Hooker. Body punch by Hooker. He’s absorbing a lot of leg kicks, but he’s also scoring with his jabs. A big counter-right stuns Hooker for a brief moment. He’s still marching forward with straight punches. Barboza takes some glancing punches and closes the distance to nail Hooker with a couple of clinch knees. They’re right in each other’s space as the round comes to a close.

Round 2: Inside leg kick causes Hooker to stumble but he recovers. He has to switch stance. His right knee is a shade of pink. Hooker not backing off though and he’s working some dirty boxing against the cage. Barboza making him pay with counter-punches to the head and body. Hooker pops him with a jab. Then Barboza lands a straight punch of his own that causes an off-balance Hooker to slip. Barboza surprisingly follows him down and after a scramble, Hooker ends up in Barboza’s half guard. Barboza defends and is able to kick Hooker off. Barboza with a 1-1-2 that gets Hooker’s attention. Hooker keeps landing with his left jab. Barboza answers with a left hook. Both men just standing in the pocket. Fatigue is taking its toll on the fighters. Barboza staying up on the cards with his jab, then a 1-2. Uppercut smacks Hooker’s jaw. He keeps coming forward. Two body punches, then a body kick by Barboza. He hurts Hooker with a right hand and then swings for the fences, but Hooker is just out of range.

Round 3: Every time Barboza lands a punch it staggers Hooker, but he will not fall down. Hooker pressing forward, he’s scoring with punches from range, a knee up the middle. Barboza avoids a single leg and gets his back to the cage with Hooker pressing against him. They separate and Barboza lands a huge body kick that bends Hooker over. Barboza goes for the kill just rifling kicks at Hooker’s midsection but again he recovers somehow. Spinning body kick and Hooker doubles over. He’s still in it! Barboza clinches Hooker, knee to the body, knee to the head, they separate, spinning back kick, Barboza is throwing everything at him. Finally, a hook to the body crumbles Hooker and that is it!
