0

Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic recovered from 6-7(5), 2-4 down on Friday, beating Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau 6-7(5), 7-5, 10-6 to return to the Rogers Cup semi-finals for the second consecutive year.

Marach and Pavic, who lost to eventual champions Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut in 2017, were made to work by the seventh seeds before eventually prevailing in a Match Tie-break. The Austrian-Croatian duo, which was the first team to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals, will face Raven Klaasen and Michael Venus for a place in the final.

In a repeat of last month's Wimbledon final, Klaasen and Venus upset fourth seeds Mike Bryan and Jack Sock 7-6(5), 6-4. The Open 13 Provence winners are bidding to reach their maiden ATP World Tour Masters 1000 final as a team.
