Unilaterally matching old SIM records with biometrics a privacy breach — NIA rejects proposal
The Executive Secretary of the National Identification Authority (NIA), Yayra Koku, has rejected suggestions that the Authority should rely on existing biometric data to validate SIM registrations. He cautioned that such an approach could compromise data privacy and undermine the integrity of the exercise.
