Burkina Faso Tomato Export ban: We’ll have no tomatoes in two weeks’ time – Traders warn

Tomato importers and traders have warned that the country could run out of fresh tomatoes in two weeks if Burkina Faso rsquo;s ban on tomato export remains in force. Burkina Faso is Ghana rsquo;s major, almost exclusive source of affordable fresh tomatoes, but the Government of Burkina Faso has announced a ban on the export of the commodity so as to protect its budding local tomato processing industry.
