Indian national jailed 5years for possessing counterfeit currency
An Accra Circuit Court has sentenced an Indian national, Shubham Sharma, to five years in prison for possessing forged Ghana cedi and United States dollar notes. The court heard that Sharma, who worked as a company manager, was found with counterfeit GH cent;200 notes amounting to GH cent;1,976,000 as well as fake US$100 notes totalling US$191,900.
