FAW celebrates roots with Wrexham-based mural
February 3 – The Football Association of Wales (FAW) has unveiled a Wrexham-based mural celebrating 150 years of Welsh football, placing the town once again at the centre of the national game as the Association celebrates a significant anniversary year.
The FAW was founded at a meeting held at the Wynnstay Arms Hotel in Wrexham in 1876 and the city has since become Welsh football’s most well-known global ambassador because of the success of Hollywood’s Ryan Reynolds at Wrexham AFC.
