Mamoutou Touré steps down from Mali FA leadership
January 26 – Mali’s Mamoutou Touré has resigned as president of Femafoot, arguing that he always acted in ‘the best interests’ of the country’s game.
In a letter, Touré (pictured), widely known as Bavieux, said: “I leave my duties with a sense of mission accomplished and the certainty that I always acted in the best interest of Malian football.”
In 2019, Touré won election as president of Femafoot before becoming a member of the FIFA Council,
