A US-based Ghanaian lawyer and scholar, Prof. Stephen Kwaku Asare, popularly known as Kwaku Azar has indicated that it is crucial to have a collective effort to deal with illegal mining (galamsey). In a statement shared on Facebook, Kwaku Azar argued that the destruction of Ghanaian lands by galamsey activities is the destruction of all citizens.
