Rebuilt bronze of Jackie Robinson returns to Kansas after 6 months
WICHITA, Kansas: Six months after the original was stolen, a rebuilt bronze of baseball icon Jackie Robinson was reinstalled in Kansas, much to the relief of his fans.
The original sculpture, which showed Robinson with a bat on his shoulder, was cut off at its ankles in January. It left only Robinson's cleats behind at McAdams Park in Wichita, home of Urban Youth Baseball League 42.
