[Softball] Four Jimmies earn NSAA first-team All-Conference

DICKINSON, N.D. – The North Star Athletic Association announced its all-conference and postseason awards Monday after the conclusion of the conference tournament. The all-conference teams and postseason awards were voted by the league coaches.

The All-Conference first team consists of 20 selections.  Bellevue (Neb.), Jamestown (N.D.) and Dickinson State (N.D.) each recorded four first-team selections.

Kelli Fisher of Bellevue was named Pitcher of the Year.  Her teammate Erin Sharpe was selected as Player of the Year.  Mikayla Frost of Jamestown and Hannah Carter of Bellevue were voted as Co-Newcomers of the Year.  Michala Cimino of Bellevue was chosen as the NSAA Softball Coach of the Year for the second straight season, guiding her team to the 2017 regular-season North Star conference title with a 20-6 record.

Jamestown earned the league's automatic bid to the NAIA Softball National Tournament Opening Round after earning a 2-1 Game 3 thriller over Bellevue in the NSAA Softball Championship Series at North Softball Complex.
