Adam Buchner leads Czechia roster for U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup
Czech Softball unveiled the national team roster for the WBSC U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup, scheduled from 25 April to 3 May in Sincelejo, Colombia. The team will compete in Group A.

The team qualified for the World Cup as the 2025 European champions, defeating Denmark 7–0 in five innings in the final. In the first edition of the U-23 World Cup, Czechia finished seventh.
Two veterans from the historic bronze medal-winning team at the U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup 2020 are included in the roster: Adam Buchner and Tomas Trtilek. Buchner is also the only returning player from the U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup 2023, where he hit .417 with one home run and five RBIs, finishing as the team’s top hitter.
World No. 9 Czechia is in Group A alongside No. 1 Japan, No. 3 Argentina, No. 7 New Zealand, No. 13 host Colombia, and No. 14 South Africa. The Europeans will open their campaign on 25 April against Japan. The full Czechia schedule is available here.
