Roster announcement: Liam Potts, Tane Mumu to lead New Zealand at WBSC U-23 Men's Softball World Cup
Softball New Zealand announced the U-23 Men's National Team to represent the country at the WBSC U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup 2026, taking place in Sincelejo, Colombia from 25 April to 3 May. The roster was selected following a four-day camp in Palmerston North last month.
The WBSC Men's Softball World Cup silver medallists Liam Potts and Tane Mumu highlight the 16-man roster for the U-23 World Cup 2026. Both the left-handed pitcher and the speedy infielder are also veterans of the National Team that finished in sixth place in the inaugural U-23 World Cup in 2023.

Clifton, Early and Wildbore represented New Zealand at the WBSC U-18 Men's Softball World Cup 2020 in Palmerston North, when the Junior Black Sox finished in fifth place.
Currently, New Zealand is ranked seventh in the WBSC Men's Softball World Ranking, with 1,726 points. In Sincelejo, they will defend 355 points as a result of a sixth-place finish in Parana 2023.
