WBSC U-15 Women's Softball World Cup: American Samoa, Singapore earn first wins, Super Round is underway
The second phase of the WBSC U-15 Women's Softball World Cup 2025 is underway in Caronno Pertusella and Legnano.
Super Round action will start in the afternoon.

Singapore-Spain 8-6
Singapore scored three runs in the top of the sixth to beat Spain and earn their first U-15 Women's Softball World Cup win.RenateSze Ling NG doubled and Singapore thrived on two defensive errors to take the lead.
Yongyi Wu went the distance, limiting Spain to six hits and three walks and allowing only one earned run.
American Samoa-Australia 8-1
American Samoa outscored Australia in five innings, making history. The game marked the first World Cup win for the No. 64 softball programme in the world.
"We did a lot of preparation," commented head coach Vili Faapouli after the game. "After every game, we sat down with the girls and reviewed the key points, preparing them for the next game. Our focus has always been to play one game at a time, and now I'm very happy for my girls. They came out to play."
American Samoa's hitters jumped on Aussie starter Leilani Malo, who couldn't get out of the first inning and thrived on defensive errors to open the score with a four-run top of the second. American Samoa scored eight runs on six hits.
Cadence Buscher earned the win, allowing only three hits and two walks.
