Devon McCullough struck out 13 batters as the starting pitcher led Bear Creek Express past Tijuana Buda’s 1-0 on Sunday. Devon McCullough gave up three hits and zero runs over six innings while walking one.
Both teams were strong in the circle. Bear Creek Express pitchers struck out 13, while Tijuana Buda’s sat down nine.
Bear Creek Express were the first to get on the board in the sixth when a wild pitch scored one run.

Roy Delivers Walk-Off Single in Championship Thriller as Bear Creek Express Claims Title 7-6

It came down to the wire on Sunday, as Bear Creek Express grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 7-6, over Tijuana Buda’s. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the eighth when Mathieu Roy singled, scoring one run.
Bear Creek Express got on the board in the first inning after Ty Sebastian hit a solo inside the park home run.
Tijuana Buda’s took the lead in the top of the third. Lenny Villalvazo homered to left field, scoring three runs, to give Tijuana Buda’s the advantage, 3-1.
Bear Creek Express tied the game up in the bottom of the third thanks to two singles. Bear Creek Express tied the game at three on a single by Cody Pannebaker.
A single by Ismael Pena gave Tijuana Buda’s the lead, 5-3, in the top of the fifth.
Bear Creek Express tied the game in the bottom of the seventh thanks to a ground out by David Galeno, and a single by Luiger Pinto.
Tijuana Buda’s took the lead in the top of the eighth. A passed ball scored one run, to give Tijuana Buda’s the edge, 6-5.
Bear Creek Express won the game in a walk-off 7-6 in the bottom of the eighth thanks to singles by Dylan Cunningham, and Mathieu Roy.
Ty Sebastian earned the win for Bear Creek Express. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and three runs (zero earned) over three innings, striking out six and walking none. Pami Madzulukwa pitched five innings in relief for Bear Creek Express. The hurler surrendered four hits and two runs (one earned) while, striking out 12 and walking two. Marco Diaz took the loss for Tijuana Buda’s. The hurler went seven and one-third innings, surrendering six runs (five earned) on 12 hits, striking out 13 and walking one.
