Puerto Rico present WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup roster
The Puerto Rican Softball Federation announced the athletes that will represent Puerto Rico at the inaugural WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup set to be held in Tokyo, Japan from October 21-29.
After qualifying at the 2023 U-15 Women’s Pan American Championship last April, World No. 3 Puerto Rico’s 16 players will fly to the Japanese capital aiming for its country's women’s programme’s fourth international success of the year.
The U-15 squad started with a third-place finish at the WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup qualification tournament and clinched a ticket to the World Cup last April.
Their senior compatriots followed up with three outstanding finishes last July, winning the Central American Caribbean Games gold, Catalonia International Softball Cup silver and a XVII Women’s Softball World Cup Group B first-place finish that secured them a Finals 2024 berth.
Ten out of the 16 players from the Americas U-15 Qualifier are included in their roster for the World Cup in Japan.

The WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup will feature Puerto Rico and 11 other teams, including No. 1 United States, No. 2 Japan, No. 5 Chinese Taipei, No. 6 Mexico, No. 8 Italy, No. 10 Czechia, No. 16 Brazil, No. 18 Peru, No. 21 Philippines, No. 23 New Zealand and Uganda.
