Black softball coaches at Illinois and Michigan State make history in weekend series: ‘It’s taken too long’

Tyra Perry of Illinois and Sharonda McDonald-Kelley of Michigan State are meeting in a three-game series this weekend that is believed to be the first time two Black female coaches have squared off in Power Five softball.
