WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University senior catcher Carolyn Dallimore's strong start to her senior season has resulted in her second career KCAC Player of the Week award, the league office announced today (Mar. 13). The KCAC Softball Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.

"I'm so proud of Carolyn, she is starting her senior season off so strong, both offensively and behind the plate!" said Friends softball head coach Suzanne Unruh.

Dallimore had a phenomenal week at the dish and capped it off with a pair of clutch at-bats to give the Falcons a pair of victories on the opening day of the Tucson Invite yesterday (Mar. 12).

The Patterson, Calif. native went 5-of-6 with a homer, two doubles and three RBIs in a sweep of Morningside University on Thursday (Mar. 9) before batting .500 and delivering a walk-off double in the Falcons' 5-4 win over Valley City State University.

She then finished the day with an RBI single in the top of the ninth to chase home the eventual winning tally in a wild 13-12 win over Viterbo.

Overall, Dallimore batted .625, with a .647 on-base percentage and a 1.063 slugging percentage in the Falcons' six games this past week.

A two-time All-KCAC selection, Dallimore is now tops in the KCAC in batting average (.538) and tied for second with five homers on the season.

Dallimore and the Falcons have won eight of nine games overall and will wrap up action in Tucson, Ariz. with games tomorrow (Mar. 14) vs. St. Clair College and Cottey College.
