CoSIDA Academic All-America Softball Team

Olivia McClintock was named to the prestigious 2022 Academic All-America Softball Team, as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). McClintock was named to the NAIA second team.

The CoSIDA Academic All-America Team is comprised of student-athletes from NAIA institutions, who are selected based on their work on the field and in the classroom. Nominees must be starters or important reserves, sophomores or older, with at least 3.30 cumulative grade point averages.

McClintock, from Chatham, Ill., batted .418 with seven doubles, two triples, 15 RBIs and 48 runs scored in her recently-completed first-team all-CCAC campaign. The senior center fielder and leadoff hitter set a program record with 47 stolen bases this year, upping her school-record career total to 129. McClintock, one of just six outfielders named to the academic all-America team, is majoring in Exercise Science.

She is just the second Fighting Bee to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America recognition this year. Tom Kazanecki earned second-team honors for men's basketball.
