MADISON, S.D. (March 24, 2021)—The Dakota State University (S.D.) Trojan softball team (6-10 overall record, 0-0 NSAA record) returns to action for the first time since March 11 as they kick off their 28-game North Star Athletic Association softball season this weekend. The Trojans take on Valley City State (N.D.) (7-3 overall record, 0-0 NSAA, receiving votes in the latest NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 national poll) in the NSAA season opening four-game series at Thue Softball Complex in downtown Madison. Both teams will be playing a doubleheader on Saturday and Sunday, with the first game starting at 1 p.m. on both days.
