WATCH: Javier Báez With Perfect Fastpitch Softball Mechanics

0 10

The Cubs took the series finale with a 9-1 win over the Brewers Sunday at Wrigley Field, where it was hot as shit and made Casey Sadler’s debut on the north side a slippery adventure.

Sadler came in to start the seventh inning and you could immediately tell something was off. The righty has only walked about 2.5 batters per nine innings in his career, but Sunday his control was off and he was taken out after only getting one out and walking two.

It was one of those hot and sticky days in Chicago and Sadler couldn’t grip the baseball to save his life. Eventually, Cubs shortstop Javier Báez had to get Sadler his own rosin bag.

And hey, if MLB gets shutdown again after the Marlins’ COVID-19 outbreak that they’re going through right now, then Javy could keep busy by pitching some fastpitch softball games.

Javy can make anything look cool as hell.

And in case you haven’t heard the recent news in MLB…

The Cubs are scheduled to begin a four-game series on the road against the Reds tonight.
