KNBSB releases Dutch Roster for Premier12
The Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association (KNBSB) has released the Dutch roster for the 2019 WBSC Premier12. The Netherlands, which won the 2019 European Championship in Germany, but had to settle for second place at the Europe-Africa Olympic Baseball Qualifier, will be managed by San Francisco Giants bench coach Hensley Meulens at the Premier12. He will be supported on the staff by bench coaches Evert-Jan’t Hoen, former big leaguer Andruw Jones, Sharnol Adriana, hitting coach Sidney de Jong, pitching coaches Bert Blyleven and Robin van Doornspeek, third base coach Ben Thijssen and first base coach Wim Martinus. The Netherlands face USA, Dominican Republic and Mexico during first-round play in Guadalajara, Mexico.
