[Baseball] Scalisi Selected To Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-District Team
Sterling College senior Adam Scalisi (SR/Eugene, Ore.) has been selected to the 2019 Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-District Baseball team. The Academic All-District teams are selected by a vote of district membership within the College Sports Information Directors of America.
The 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Baseball and Softball Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball and softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team (when selected) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on June 3.
The NAIA Google Cloud Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
Nominees to the Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-America® program must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.3 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and must have attended their current institution for at least one full academic year and have reached sophomore athletic eligibility status. Honorees to the Academic All-District First Team in their four respective districts are then considered for Academic All-America status as voted on by the National Academic All-America Committee.
