[Softball] SOFTBALL: SU Splits Four Games Over the Weekend

The Week of Feb. 4 - 10 in Review

Even though the rest of last week's games were washed out, Simpson was able to take the field in Redding, Calif., splitting four games against Oregon schools over the weekend.  Concordia and Oregon Tech were in town for two games against the Red Hawks.  SU won the Saturday's first game, 6-1, against the Cavaliers behind Sydney Moorehead's complete-game five-hitter.  She struck out five and walked none and was able to work with some comfort after her offense broke the game open with four runs in the 5th inning, keyed by RBI-singles by Courtney Clevenger and Gentry Hoffman.
