[Football] Jansen Named National and Conference Special Teams Player of the Week
Kansas City, Missouri – Brady Jansen (JR/Johnston, IA./Johnston HS) was named the NAIA National Football Special Teams Player of the Week as well as the Special Teams Player of the Week for the Heart of America Conference.
Jansen successfully converted three field goal attempts and two extra point attempts in the Vikings' 29-27 win over the Culver-Stockton Wildcats.
Jansen's shining moment came with 0:13 left in the game when he teed up for a 40-yard attempt. The Wildcats attempted to ice the Johnston product by calling two timeouts before the ball was snapped. Jansen went unfazed, however, kicking the three-point try through the middle of the uprights to put the Vikings ahead.
Jansen has successfully converted on 11/13 of his field goals this season. His 84.6% field goal percentage is the 11th-highest in the country. Jansen is also No. 6 in total field goals made.
