[Softball] Warriors Get Clutch Hits in Seventh as Hinrichs One-Hits Jimmies

DODGE CITY, Kan. – Behind a strong pitching performance and thanks to timely hits (RV) Midland University is advancing into the winner's bracket after a 1-0 win over No. 11 University of Jamestown. The two future conference rivals were deadlocked through six inning before the Warriors broke open the game with a run in the top of the final inning.

Jaylee Hinrichs pitched a complete-game, one-hit shutout as Midland improved to 35-15 on the season. She had a perfect game through four innings before hitting a Jimmie batter to lead off the inning. She would recover and set the next two batters before catcher Katlin Anders gunned down the potential base stealer.
