[Softball] Softball Ranked No.22 in NAIA Polls

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Grand View Softball enters this week's NAIA ranking tied for 22nd with a record of 20-4 and a record total of 141 points. GV is tied with Oregon Tech who also holds a record total of 141 points and has an overall record of 24-9.

The Vikings are currently on a seven-game win streak and are 10-2 the Heart of America Athletic Conference.  In the past two weeks, Grand View has defeated No. 18 Central Methodist 9-1 and 8-2.

Senior pitcher, Claudia Farrel, ranks third in the NAIA in Earned Run Average (0.600) along with eighth in Total Earned Runs Allowed (8). As a team, the Vikings rank twelfth in the NAIA in Earned Run Average (1.880). 

Lexi Merritt leads the Vikings with a .364 batting average with 34 hits along with Lexi Biehl totally 25 RBI this season and nine stolen bases for the Vikings. 

Grand View currently sit atop the North Division in the Heart Conference Rankings while Central Methodist leads the South Division.
