[Softball] Tigers rally twice for pair of wins over CCU
Georgetown College softball needed all its hitting power Monday in a doubleheader with Cincinnati Christian University. Both teams are receiving votes in the preseason NAIA coaches' poll and neither wanted to give ground in the early season.
However, the Tigers (4-0) twice found ways to knock off the Eagles (2-6). GC rallied in each game, winning game one 12-4 and game two needed three doubles with two outs for a 7-6 win.
It started rather quietly with GC seeming to take a strong hold with a 4-0 lead. CCU responded back with four of its own in the third, forcing Audrey Dodd from the circle. Kara Howard came in and despite giving up the fourth run, shut the Eagles out from there.
