[Softball] Mathews named AAC Pitcher of the Week

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Rachel Mathews of Tennessee Wesleyan Universityis the Appalachian Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the ninth and final edition of the weekly honors for the 2017 season.

AAC Pitcher of the Week

Rachel Mathews - Tennessee Wesleyan - Jr. - Crossville, Tenn.

Went 2-0 with a 1 save in 4 games pitched at the AAC Tournament.

Named to the All-Tournament Team.

Posted the lowester ERA at the tournament at 0.78.

Allowed 2 earned runs on 14 hits and 2 walks with 9 strikeouts.

This is her first weekly honor this season.
