[Softball] Jaguars earn split with A&M-Texarkana

Pitching and defense were key Friday in helping the University of Houston-Victoria jaguars come away with a split in a Red River Athletic Conference doubleheader against the Texas A&M-Texarkana Eagles at the Victoria Youth Sports Complex.

Cameron Cowan (FR/Shiner, TX) tossed a three-hitter and got some key defensive plays behind her in the opening game a 1-0 win in 11 innings. Pitching was again a premium in the nightcap as the Eagles rallied late for a 4-2 win.
