[Softball] Senevey's Strong Start Steers Eagle Softball to Split with Statesmen

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Looking to rebound after dropping a handful of games over the weekend, Avila softball returned home to The Z in Kansas City to cap off its whirlwind opening weekend of the 2021 season with a doubleheader against William Penn. After the Statesmen (1-1) earned a hard-fought 6-5 win in eight innings in the first half of the twinbill, the Eagles (3-5) got strong pitching performances from a pair of sophomores to guide them to a 6-3 victory in the second half.
