COLUMBIA, Ky. – Fourth seeded Saint Xavier found a way to push one run across the plate in the sixth inning of a pitchers dual between the Cougars Allison Golic and the Lions Vanessa Dwyer to advance to the winners bracket game later today at 6:30 p.m. CT.
Saint Xavier's Allison Golic (18-7) pitched a complete game shutout after allowing five hit, recording eight strikeouts against 25 batters. Vanguard's Vanessa Dwyer (21-5) also pitched a complete game allowing just three hits against 22 batters adding six strikeouts.
