[Softball] Galindo tosses two-hitter in Jaguars' victory

The University of Houston-Victoria scored nine runs in the first inning Thursday and it was more than enough as the Jaguars rolled to a doubleheader sweep in a pair of run-rule victories over the University of Southwest Lady Mustangs at the Victoria Youth Sports Complex.

The nine runs were all freshman pitcher Cheyenne Galindo (FR/Ganado, TX) would need, as she would toss a two-hit shutout in the 12-0 win in the opener. The Jaguars would come back in the nightcap and use a seven-run third to capture an 11-3 win. Both Red River Athletic Conference games went just five innings.
