Utah Skier Mali Noyes Is Joining a New Brand This Winter
Salt Lake City-based skier, Mali Noyes, has decided to keep things close to home with her new ski sponsor.
Noyes, who recently skied every line in the Wasatch's Chuting Gallery in record time, has officially joined the DPS Skis athlete team.
In the spring of 2025, Noyes completed descents of 93 of the Wasatch's most technical and difficult ski descents in just 47 days. Since then, Noyes has received significant acclaim for her feat in the mountains as well as praise for sharing the ins and outs of the experience.
Noyes' new partnership with DPS Skis appears to be a perfect fit, given her affinity for technical ski mountaineering. DPS is known for making skis from primarily carbon fiber laminates, sandwiched around a wood core, making a lightweight, strong, ski that's meant to be taken far.
The carbon makeup of these skis makes them notably more expensive than other brands ($1,100-$1,900), but the brand's ethos is that a ski should last forever, making them worth the spend. The company relocated to Salt Lake in 2013, where all their skis are prototyped and fabricated in Noyes' home range.

Noyes was drawn to the brand by the possibility of a ski quiver that would give her specific and high performance choices, based on her objectives. "I want to keep on skiing big, complex lines, linking them up, and going for objectives that other people might find unfathomable," said Noyes in a joint Instagram post with the brand.
DPS has also made a habit of bringing athletes onto their team who are more than just ambassadors for the brand. Currently, ski racing legend Ted Ligety works as DPS' Head of Product, renowned ski mountaineer Chris Davenport is their Head of Ambassador Relations and Field Testing, and Olympic gold medalist Billy Demong is their Head of Strategic Product Development.
With some new carbon skis in tow, we're excited to see what Noyes pulls off next, and hoping to see a lot more #droppingboysinthebooter.
