Investigation ongoing in First Street shooting

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Police are investigating a shooting near First Street and Lark Street on Sunday. Police said the shooting happened around 3:55 a.m. when they received a shots fired call.
According to police, several people were gathered in the street when they arrived on the scene. Once police broke the group up and began investigating, a staff member of Albany Medical Center notified police about a 29-year-old in the emergency room with a gunshot wound in his hand.
Police said they believe the 29-year-old was the victim shot near First Street and Lark Street. The victim is still being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
