[Women's Basketball] No. 5 Mustangs Topple Women's Basketball

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. — Erica McCarter scored a season-high 17 points and the Hawks held one of the best players in the country to seven points below her season average but the No. 5 Mustangs still defeated SDC 69-37 on Saturday night.

McCarter finished shooting 7-of-15 from the floor and also had three steals. Hannah Myers scored six points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.

The Hawks also were frustrating on the defensive side for the Mustangs. SDC forced 11 turnovers.

SDC will host William Jessup on Thursday at Mesa College before playing Menlo College on Saturday at Grossmont.
