Cadets eye big role for Brown

The ball moved crisply from side to side as sneakers screeched at SUNY Cobleskill Sunday afternoon. As he curled around a screen set for him, Albany Academy junior guard Rob Brown quickly flashed to the right wing prepared to receive a pass. Brown collected the feed and, in rhythm, buried a 3-pointer.
"Shooting the basketball has always been strong for him," Albany Academy coach Brian Fruscio said. "Getting to the basket at more of a straight line, and not getting bumped off his line, is something he needs to improve on. So is rebounding the ball at the defensive end. He has always been a great on-ball defender. We need him to be a better team defender and he has to rebound the ball for us to be good. That is so key.
