[Men's Basketball] Tops Seeds Prevail in MBB Tournament

The top four seeds in the 2019 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament held true during the first round. Top-seeded Cornerstone defeated No. 8 UM-Dearborn 78-63 while second-seeded Madonna erased a 12-point deficit to eliminate No. 7 Lawrence Tech 81-72. No. 3 Indiana Tech rallied in the second half shooting 65.5% to beat sixth-seed Lourdes 82-73 and No. 4-seeded Siena Heights overcame a nine-point deficit and withstood a late rally to best No. 5 Rochester 75-70.

Semifinals are set for Saturday, Feb. 23 with a 3 p.m. tip off scheduled.
