Aquila Catamarans, a brand long established as a leader in the power catamaran sector, is moving aggressively into the sailing market. Following the recent launch of its first sailing model, the company announced the addition of eight new dealers specifically for its sailing segment, part of a global network that now exceeds 100 locations.

The expansion centers on the Aquila 50 Sail, which made its world debut at the Miami International Boat Show earlier in 2026. The model is scheduled for its European premiere at the International Multihull Show in La Grande Motte, France, from April 22 through 26, followed by an Australian debut at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May.

The rapid growth of the dealership network is designed to support a multiyear rollout of sailing vessels. The 50 Sail will be joined by the 44 Sail in late 2026 and a flagship 65 Sail slated for late 2027.

The Catamaran Company, a specialist in the sail market providing yacht management and maintenance, will handle sales in the United States. Other global appointments include Whitehaven in Australia and New Zealand, Primus Marine in Southeast Asia, and Athenian Yachts in Greece. Additional exclusive dealers have been named for Italy, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, and Corsica.

“The launch of our sailing range is going from strength to strength, and we are pleased to make the 50 Sail accessible to more buyers via our new dealers,” said Nick Harvey, chief revenue officer at Aquila Catamarans. “They are experts in the market and the perfect representatives for the 50 Sail and wider Aquila Sail range.”

Aquila officially entered the sailing market in 2025, leveraging its experience in composite manufacturing and power catamaran design. The 50 Sail was developed in partnership with J&J Design and features the brand’s signature bridge to bow stairs for easier deck access.

The interior is available in four, five, or six cabin configurations. Each cabin includes a private entrance and ensuite facilities with walk-in showers, a design choice intended to maximize privacy and comfort for long-term cruising families or charter guests.
