Off The Hook Yachts Expands Caribbean Presence Through Puerto Rico Partnership
Now in the Caribbean, Off The Hook Yachts is making a strategic move to grow its regional footprint.
The Wilmington, North Carolina-based company — recognized as the largest buyer and wholesaler of used boats and yachts in the United States — has entered into a partnership with CFR Yacht Sales, a long-established brokerage in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Announced January 26, 2026, the agreement gives Off The Hook YS Inc. preferred access to select pre-owned vessels generated through CFR’s brokerage and trade activity, along with local facilities and inventory support.
Founded more than 45 years ago by Carlos F. (Carli) Rodriguez, CFR Yacht Sales is now operated by Carli alongside Carlos L. Rodriguez, Ceciliana Rodriguez, and Ivette Rodriguez. The brokerage, located near Club Náutico and San Juan Bay Marina, represents brands including Aquila, Viking, Princess, Valhalla Boat Works, and ElectroSea in Puerto Rico.
Under the partnership, CFR will assist with sourcing, verification, and logistics for qualifying used boats originating in Puerto Rico. Those vessels will then feed into Off The Hook’s broader regional and global wholesale channels.
“Puerto Rico is a strategically important market and a natural entry point for expanding our sourcing capabilities across the Caribbean and Latin America,” said Off The Hook CEO Brian John.
The expansion comes during a period of strong financial momentum for Off The Hook. In January, the company marked a milestone by ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange, celebrating its transition to a publicly traded company. The firm reported $82.6 million in revenue for the first nine months of 2025, up 19.3% year over year, and is forecasting $140–$145 million in revenue for 2026.
With Puerto Rico serving as a strategic gateway, the partnership positions Off The Hook Yachts to deepen its sourcing network across the Caribbean while strengthening distribution into international resale markets.
