ICRA National Conference & AGM Saturday -7th February 2026, RSGYC

0 7

Following on from the success of the keynote speakers in previous years, ICRA is pleased to announce that the keynote speakers for this year’s conference will be:

Michael Boyd — Admirals Cup Team
When the Royal Ocean Racing Club revived the Admiral’s Cup in 2025, RORC centenary year, and invited clubs rather than nations, the Royal Irish Yacht Club responded positively.
Michael Boyd, RIYC member and former RORC Commodore, served as Chef d’Équipe for the RIYC team, responsible for managing the campaign. He will talk about the highs and lows of the 2025 series and the likely future of such high-level international competition.

Cillian Dickinson & Louis Molloy — J24 World Champions
In 2025, Headcase became the first Irish team to win the J/24 World Championships. They also won their third European championships in a row, claimed the inaugural Keelboat Champions Cup and were nominated for World Sailings Team of the Year award. Join them for a recap of their season.

Pamela Lee — Offshore Racing Specialist
Pam joins us to share the story behind her #EmpowHer Class40 racing project. Fresh off the 2025 championship season, she’ll look ahead to her 2026 goal: becoming the first Irish sailor ever to take on the legendary solo Route du Rhum.
From Optis and Mirrors on Lough Derg to racing both solo and double-handed at the highest level. Pam will touch on the high-stakes realities of building, funding, and managing a professional offshore racing campaign. She’ll share her passion for using our sport as a platform for positive change, creating sailing projects aimed to inspire and motivate.
Pam will also discuss how she’s integrated into the French offshore racing scene, and the group of international Class40s she’s bolstering to come race the Round Ireland Race this summer.

As well as keynote speakers, there will be updates on the major events planned in the year and the sailors’ forum (where you have your chance to discuss and debate the big issues in our sport) and the AGM.

The event will occur on Saturday 7th February 2026 at the Royal Saint George Yacht Club, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.

The conference will start at 10:30am, followed by the AGM and will close at lunch time.

Please note that the Conference may be recorded.
