RCYC Sailors Selected for Prestigious Monaco Optimist Team Race Regatta

Organised by Yacht Club de Monaco, the Monaco Optimist Team Race Regatta has grown into one of the world's premier showcases for young team racers. This invitation‑only event welcomes up to 16 elite club and association teams each year, drawing top talent from across the globe. RCYC has enjoyed a long and valued relationship with the regatta since its inception in 2010, consistently sending sailors who embody the spirit, skill and sportsmanship the event is known for.

Following a rigorous internal selection process overseen by our committee, we are proud to announce the four sailors selected to represent RCYC at this year's competition:

Each of these sailors has come through our club pathway, demonstrating commitment, resilience and excellence on and off the water. They are no strangers to high‑level competition, regularly performing at the top tier of both national and international events.

Racing will take place in Monaco Bay, just off Yacht Club de Monaco. The close‑to‑shore venue provides a spectacular viewing opportunity and a challenging tactical arena for competitors. The regatta forms a key part of Yacht Club de Monaco's sporting philosophy – promoting teamwork, discipline, self‑control and respect for the rules. Above all, it celebrates learning, progress and the pure joy of sailing.
