For sailors who enjoy exploring close to shore or want a practical second boat, Zodiac has introduced the new X9CC, a compact rigid-inflatable (RIB) designed with versatility and comfort in mind.

Building on the success of the X10CC launched in 2024, the 28-foot X9CC adapts the performance and design of its larger sibling into a more maneuverable package. With its rigid hull for speed and handling, paired with inflatable tubes for stability and safety, the boat carries up to 15 passengers while maintaining predictable performance even at higher speeds.

A stepped hull design allows the X9CC to reach 50 knots with twin 250-hp engines while keeping fuel consumption in check. A 164-gallon fuel tank provides range for extended days on the water. Standard equipment includes bow and stern sunbeds, a console with twin-seat bolster, windlass, aft platforms with swim ladder and shower, and a modular cabin with a berth, separate toilet, and storage—features that make the boat suitable for overnight trips as well as day use.

“The X9CC continues this legacy, meeting the needs of boaters looking for a more maneuverable vessel that is just as innovative and refined,” Zodiac said in announcing the model.

The RIB measures 28 feet 3 inches long with a 10-foot 11-inch beam and an unladen weight of 5,180 pounds. High freeboards add security, while the open layout and dual lounging areas make it a sociable platform for families and friends.

Reflecting Zodiac’s “sporty-chic” spirit, the boat can be personalized with tube colors ranging from Carbon White to Military Grey, along with upholstery options such as Blush Bay and Sunset Coral.

The X9CC starts at $157,000 (excluding VAT and options) with twin 200-hp Mercury engines, while a fully equipped version is priced around $201,000.

With its combination of speed, seaworthiness, and thoughtful features, the X9CC is aimed at boaters who want a reliable second boat for coastal exploring and short cruising adventures.
