TY Irish Coastal Navigation For Small Boats Course with Irish Offshore Sailing
This course is designed to prepare students for the Pre Entry assessment for becoming a dinghy instructor with Irish Sailing. It is a 2 days course. Sunday is a full day, Monday is a shorter day

This is a 12 hour course, which is designed primarily for coastal navigation onboard very small yachts, keelboats and ribs. Certificates are issued immediately after the course, which ends in a short examination. The certs are issued by Irish Sailing and are valid for life.

The course includes the chart packs and exercise books, but the course fee does not include navigation instruments needed to undertake the exercises. A portland plotter and dividers is needed, These can be bought online or at Viking Marine, or perhaps you can borrow a set. They can be purchased on the day of the course for €35 in cash from the instructor.
Soft pencils, a notepad, and a white eraser are also essential for this course. The aim of this course is to cover the following areas, which are needed as part of a pre-entry into an advanced powerboat course, and is more or less essential of dinghy sailing instructors.
