The Triple Crown is under way
The Triple Crown is under way
The Cobh to Blackrock race was held Saturday in a fresh SE breeze that gave the large fleet a fantastic race up the river. CSC, as the organisers of this race pulled it off in style and the fleet enjoyed the hospitality of Tequila Jacks for a few refreshments and the prize giving.
The Royal Cork turned up in numbers as always and left with a haul of trophies. The class winners were IMP, Bataleur 88, Don't Dilly Dally, Rosmarina (great to see Ronan racing again), Sweet Dreams, Holly Blue and Clodagh.
The Triple Crown, a three part series including the Blackrock race, the Cork Buoy race and the Naval race is a team event and the leaderboard after the first race are as follows:
The Myrtleville Flyers (North Star/Cavatina)
Ship Faced (IMP/Rosmarina)
Spin and Tonic (Luas/Clodagh)
Well done to everyone who took part!
This week sees the conclusion of the Summer Series and prize giving will be held on Thursday and Friday after racing.
On Saturday, the second race of the triple crown, the Cork Buoy race will be held, FG at the amended time of 14.00hrs
See you on the water!
