Voyage Yachts has announced the launch of its newest performance cruising catamaran, the Voyage 510, a model that blends the brand’s signature bluewater DNA with updated design elements for private owners and the charter market alike.

Built in Cape Town, South Africa, and known for their rugged construction and liveaboard comfort, Voyage catamarans have long been favorites among sailors looking for capable offshore cruisers with charter pedigree. The 510 arrives as the spiritual sibling to the award-winning Voyage 590—Cruising World’s 2022 Boat of the Year winner in the “Best Charter Boat” category—but in a slightly more compact, versatile platform.

Layout and Livability

One of the 510’s standout features is its flexible accommodation plan. Owners can choose a layout with up to four identical en-suite guest cabins, plus two additional en-suite crew quarters—an ideal setup for crewed charter operations. The interior spaces emphasize openness and flow, with a mid-deck living and dining area that merges seamlessly with the galley and helm.

Topside, a generous flybridge lounge offers panoramic views and yet another social zone for guests or family. Whether under sail or anchored off a remote cay, the 510 is clearly built with entertaining in mind.

Short-Handed Capability Meets Offshore Range

Despite its size, the 510 is designed for ease of operation, with consolidated sail and vessel controls that make the boat manageable for a small crew—or even solo sailors. The twin 57-hp diesels with shaft drive, coupled with a well-thought-out sail plan and relatively light displacement (42,990 lbs), support efficient passagemaking. A 9-knot cruising speed gives owners range, while 450-liter tanks for both fuel and water (2 x each) provide endurance for longer passages.

Built to Roam

Measuring 51’10” overall with a beam of nearly 27 feet, the Voyage 510 sits squarely in the large catamaran class. Construction is lightweight but robust, with an emphasis on strength and system integration. The hull lines and performance profile make it clear that the 510, while luxurious, hasn’t sacrificed its sailing chops.

According to the builder, every element of the boat—from sail-handling systems to materials—has been scrutinized for real-world voyaging use.

Another Step in the Voyage Story

Founded in 1994, Voyage Yachts has steadily built its reputation on offshore-capable multihulls that perform well and live even better. The launch of the 590 marked a new design era for the company, and the 510 builds on that success with a model tailored for sailors who want the comforts of home without compromising bluewater ability.

Whether it’s run as a luxury charter platform or prepped for a family sabbatical at sea, the new Voyage 510 looks ready to carry the brand’s legacy forward—on whichever course its owners choose.
