Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are teaming up once again, this time to purchase an Australian sailing team.

The statement, which features the humor and friendly teasing that Ryan and Hugh have become known for, reads: “We’re incredibly excited to set sail together in this new adventure. Hugh brings a deep love for and pride in his home country as well as being an avid fan of sailing. He will also be bringing his overly clingy emotional support human along for the ride. Apologies in advance to Australia. No comment on whether we’re writing this in our BONDS. No further questions.”

The 40-year-old co-owner and Olympian shared his own statement and excitement to have the pair of actors joining the team.

Of the new partnership, Tom says, “They bring unmatched star power, a love for storytelling, and a sharp sense of humour that fits perfectly with our team. With BONDS joining as our Title Partner and the launch of the BONDS Flying Roos, we’re building something distinctly Australian; a team driven by spirit, resilience, and national pride.”

The team will compete with its new ownership for the first time in the Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix, taking place June 7-8.

This isn’t the first sports team Ryan has invested in. The 48-year-old actor is also a co-owner of Wrexham AFC alongside Rob McElhenny.

Ryan and Rob recently celebrated a win for Wrexham AFC together.
